EGEA 2003

The First International EGEA Conference on Health Benefits of the Mediterranean Diet was held in Crete, Greece June 5'th - 8'th 2003.

More than 100 scientists from 19 countries representing 5 continents were gathered from June 5th – 8th 2003 to present and discuss the latest advances on health benefits of the Mediterranean diet with special focus on cancer and cardiovascular diseases.

The conference resulted in a resolution on the health benefits of the Mediterranean Diet and European Food and Nutrition Policy.  You can find the resolution here:
